Horizon Teachers Performing at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival
One of the things that makes Horizon School of Music unique is that our teachers are not only passionate educators, they are also active professional musicians performing throughout the Lower Mainland and beyond.
This summer, we are proud to celebrate 3 incredible Horizon instructors who will be performing as part of the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, one of Canada’s most respected and beloved music events.

Why We Love Seeing Our Teachers Perform
At Horizon, we believe students benefit tremendously from learning with teachers who continue to perform, create, compose, record, and share music with the world.
When students work with active musicians, they gain insight into real world performance, artistry, creativity, and professional musicianship. It helps bridge the gap between learning music and living music.
We are incredibly proud of Kelly, Leah, and Teresa for representing Horizon School of Music at this year’s Vancouver International Jazz Festival.
If you attend any of these performances, be sure to say hello and show your support.
🎶 Support local music.
🎶 Support your teachers.
🎶 Support live performance.
We hope to see some Horizon faces in the audience.
