Jeremy McKay is the quintessential “Jack of All Trades.” An author, writer, entrepreneur, and yoyo champion to list a few. But at the heart of everything is his passion for music. Jeremy is a multi-instrumentalist with 30 years of music behind him. He found his first musical love in the guitar as a teenager, watching his uncle stomp and play and sing at family gatherings.

He teaches elementary school part time, and firmly believes that if you aren’t happy and having fun, learning it’s happening. Everyone has some music in them, be it an instrument, voice, or digital music on an iPad or device. A little instruction and room to grow and anyone can find a way to share their music with the world.

His latest musical passion is the harmonica. It’s one of those funny instruments that once you start listening for it, you quickly find out just how many familiar songs feature its raw emotion. The harmonica requires a delicate balance between thought and feeling, theory and art, body and soul.

The harmonica is one of the few instruments that sounds nice if you just pick it up and play. But once you dive into technique you find it’ll take you from blues to Bach, from country to jazz, or just chilling on the back porch.
