Ryan is an aspiring audio engineer who provides song recording and production for Horizon School of Music. He is currently going to Langara College for Digital Music Production and will be a certified audio engineer in September 2026. Ryan played bass guitar in middle school band and after a long musical break, he bought his first acoustic guitar three years ago and started taking lessons at Horizon School of Music. Ryan is now an avid musician at Horizon taking guitar, bass, and vocal lessons, sharing originals at Songwriter’s Circle, and playing at open mics and jams. He also volunteers for Empower Through Music Society (Horizon’s parallel charity organization), who provides music lessons to under-served and neurodivergent youth.

Ryan listens to a wide range of genres from Metal to Rock to Jazz to Classical. His favorite artists include Metallica, Iron Maiden, RHCP, The Beatles, The Lumineers, and Ludovico Einaudi. Ryan is very grateful for his Mom for playing endless Beatles on childhood road trips and for his Dad for giving him his excellent album collection as young teenager. He enjoys reading and writing poetry with his favorite poets being Rumi, Charles Bukowski, Pablo Neruda, and Jim Morrison. Ryan also has a Masters in Mechanical Engineering and loves the mathematical aspect of music.

Ryan has a home studio for recording basic songs including vocals, guitars, bass, keyboard, and e-drums. He has taken over his living room to become his home recording studio. His cozy apartment is filled with plants and art along with his two cats. Family and friends are welcome to come to the recording sessions and chill on Ryan’s big comfy couch with a peak-a-boo mountain view to support their loved ones while recording. Ryan’s goal is to provide musicians with semi-professional, production-quality recordings at an affordable price in a comforting and supportive atmosphere and environment.
