Robert Fowlie is a music educator and multi-instrumentalist who holds a Bachelor of Musical Arts from the University of Western Ontario. His teaching emphasizes creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of music—balancing structured technique with student-led exploration.
Robert’s musical journey began much like many others—because his friends were doing it, and his parents found out [insert laugh]. What started as classical piano lessons and secretly learning his favourite video game music from titles like Final Fantasy grew into a diverse career performing and collaborating across genres. Over the years, he has worked with pop, rock, and hip-hop bands, performed and directed in musical theatre, and taught musicians of all ages and experience levels with enthusiasm and care.
Since moving to Vancouver, Robert has slowly become an active member of the local music scene—hosting and performing at weekly open mics while writing and developing a debut album. He’s always eager to explore new creative opportunities, collaborate with others, and share his passion for music in meaningful ways.
When not immersed in music, Robert can be found honing his game development skills, playing footy, agonizing over chess, or enjoying the beautiful Vancouver outdoors.
