Brent MacKenzie is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, where he earned both his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music. He has been singing with the chorus of Vancouver Opera since 2023, and also performs in solo projects around Vancouver and Toronto.

Brent grew up loving a wide range of music, from opera to jazz to musical theatre, and brings that same open-minded approach into his lessons. Whether you are brand new or have some experience, he focuses on helping you feel comfortable, expressive, and connected to the music you actually enjoy.

His teaching style is relaxed, encouraging, and student-focused. Brent believes lessons should feel like a space where you can explore, make mistakes, and grow at your own pace. He works closely with each student to shape lessons around their goals, helping them build confidence, develop their voice, and most importantly, enjoy the process of making music.
